Application Page improvments

This weekend we are introducing some minor changes to the Applications page which are in preparation for several new features we will be releasing in the coming months. The most prominent of these introduces a default Production group with all your existing applications listed inside (see above).

This change is to allow for a new feature called App Groups that we will be adding to the WAF-as-a-Service Management Portal and API. This feature will allow you to group applications together for separate control of the datapath if your application licence level allows it. For example you could add a Staging group to go with the default Production group, each with different datapath versions. This will allow enterprises to test complex applications against a new datapath before moving in to production.

The groupings on the Applications page are a concertina and can be collapsed (see below).

With another upcoming feature, you will also be able to add Custom Attack Patterns that will only apply to apps in a specific group. This will allow you to test them in a separate group without impacting Production applications.

We are excited about the many additional enhancements and features that App Groups will enable in the coming months and look forward to hearing you feedback.
