Session Recording

This past weekend we introduced Session Recording for troubleshooting layer-7 application problems when passing traffic through the WAF-as-a-Service datapath proxies.

Those of you who have previously used the Barracuda WAF appliances will already be familiar with this feature.

For those of you who are not, it enables you to capture requests and responses between the specified application and a specific client IP address. The captured session is stored in an XML file which can be downloaded for analysis in your favourite XML parser.

You can find this tool under the RESOURCES tab TROUBLESHOOTING > Session Recording. Please note that Session Recording should only be used during an application maintenance and debugging window. When a new session is captured the previous session will be overwritten, so please download first to avoid loss.

We expect this troubleshooting tool to be very helpful to many administrators investigating application issues on their own but if you are having a problem please do not hesitate to contact our Support team.
